Teachable Review 2023: Should You Try It?
The Art behind Business Development
Uploading courses and reaching out to the audience took time. Still, this tiny start-up began to thrive with the tireless efforts of a team of coders, marketers, and financial experts sitting in a small Manhattan office.
It aimed to add new courses every day and grow with more sign-ups. Because the idea was significant, the efforts put in were fantastic. That is what distinguishes Teachable as a unique platform for publishing your content.

What Has Teachable Accomplished So Far?
Teachable leverages the expertise of over 10,000 professionals worldwide and has earned up to $500 million to date. It pays close attention to the content it publishes and constantly strives to create new courses for its subscribers.
Teachable was named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in 2020. It is currently ranked #820. (That’s quite good!)
It is working on expanding its network and plans to add more workshops; famous author works, and coaching services. It also invites curious souls to share their skill sets with the rest of the world by providing a solid platform.
What Do People Think About Teachable?
Teachable is one of the best online learning and teaching platforms. It provides excellent courses, and the content quality is commendable. It covers a variety of genres to appeal to a wide range of learners.
It is a factotum where you can find lectures and courses ranging from basic technical skills to advanced marketing tutorials.
Professional teachers and lecturers present concepts and ideologies that are friendly and comprehensive. The language is simple and easy to understand.
Entire courses are designed and presented organized, allowing the novice to gradually and steadily grasp the topic. There are no lengthy, tedious lectures. It is always brief, sharp, and to the point.
Teachable’s interface is very user-friendly, easy to use, and navigable.
You can even change the default text to your preferred language, including navigation buttons, error alerts, and e-commercial links, which not all teaching platforms provide.
You can change every text on your screen to a different language.
Not only can you learn from Teachable, but you can also teach here if you want.
You can create and upload a thumbnail for your course in the catalog watercolor section of the course interface. You can increase your sales page viewership by posting a promotional video.
It’s well-organized, with everything connected like tree branches. Each branch is dedicated to a specific category and listed alongside the others.
Lectures are supplemented with relevant media files such as PDFs, audio, and video, as well as quizzes to assess your knowledge.
You can benefit from E- certification with Professional or higher plans. The certificate includes the name of the school, the student’s name, and the course.
You can personalize your certificates using a template, logos, signatures, and images.
Teachable, with all of its features, stands out to me as being efficient for providing knowledge and skills on a global scale. It provides courses at reasonable costs.
And once you begin any course, there is no turning back. It has a magnetic quality that draws me to it whenever I want to learn something new.
How Does Teachable Go Above ⏫ Our Expectations?
Teachable outperforms its competitors as an online teaching and learning platform, exceeding expectations.
Teachers will have complete control over their courses at Teachable, including the syllabus and how they run their classes.
Courses range from baking to basic etiquette to fitness, and instructors who join teachable are typically motivated by a love of the craft. This usually results in a fun and exciting learning environment.
Users have reported Teachable as a user-friendly interface with efficient customer support for teachers and students. Although classes on Teachable are not live, it allows teachers to host webinars on other live-streaming platforms like youtube.
Once you’ve logged in, everything from course curriculum to course content is available for all the courses you have paid for.
According to the plan offered by the course teacher, you will have the option of either limited or lifetime course access or both.
Teachable also offers connecting with the tutor via email, but the downside is that you can only connect with the tutor if they connect with you first.
Teachable is a secure platform with SSL security and has a privacy policy to protect the data of its users and ensure maximum safety. All the User profiles are held private and protected.
Students can also leave course comments by logging in to their Teachable profiles.
10 Key Features Of Teachable
1. Cloud LMS Platform
Teachable stands out because it is a cloud-based LMS (learning management system). Because it’s a dependable solution, you won’t have to worry about finding a host for your course.
You won’t even have to worry about maintaining a website. The platform handles everything.
You also do not need to install software on your computer. Everything is entirely possible online. When you sign up for a plan and log in, you can work on your course whenever you want.
2. Demo Options
By signing up for Teachable’s free plan, you’ll be able to try out the platform immediately.
You can get a full demo and create a working course (and even offer it for sale, though the fees on a free plan can be astronomical).
3. Personalized Domain
Teachable lets you connect your domain to theirs. Using a custom domain to link to an existing website is simple.
To fully customize your learners’ experience, you can use the power editor to create compelling lectures, coaching sessions, and videos.
4. Tools for data tracking and marketing
Teachable makes it simple to track your statistics and numbers.
You can create beautiful sales pages that generate traffic and keep track of purchases and student information using a customizable page editor and the platform’s full dashboards.
Teachable offers several ways for course developers to earn money – and you don’t have to spend much to get started. Coupons and more complex pricing options such as memberships, subscriptions, packages, one-time payments, and so on are all possible.
Teachable also offers affiliate marketing tools to help you (and others!) spread the word about your company while making money.
Teachable handles everything for you, including pixel support and affiliate rewards, so you don’t have to.
Furthermore, the website accepts global payments in over 130 different currencies (and mobile and PayPal payment options so you can take your course on the road).
5. Interaction With Students
Teachable is a great platform to consider if you want to communicate with your students. Creating classes and milestones with built-in call hosting, task creation, and other features is simple.
Calendly also allows you to arrange and host events, which can help you manage your intake, booking, learning, and other scheduling activities.
6. Course Completion and Feedback Features
You can keep your students engaged by providing course completion certificates and tests.
You will be able to incorporate and provide any course compliance measure to ensure that your students have mastered the topic before moving on.
Not only that, but you’ll be able to provide excellent customer service.
You’ll be able to collect feedback from students via third-party forms and surveys, and Teachable is integrated with Zapier, allowing you to automate support with services such as Zendesk, Intercom, Olark, and others.
7. Enhanced Security
When it comes to your business, you don’t want anyone interfering with how it runs, especially if they intend to scam you or jeopardize the safety and security of the courses you’ve created.
As a result, Teachable employs some of the industry’s most advanced safety and security measures to keep your data safe and secure.
The company provides 24/7 monitoring, so you don’t have to worry about downtime and immediate upgrades, so you don’t have to wait for new features – or, worse, risk missing out entirely.
Teachable protects your students’ personal information as they log in and out with a 2048-bit SSL certificate.
The organization only uses PCI level-1 certified payment providers, ensuring that the information provided by your students is always safe and secure.
8. Upload a Wide Range of Files
Teachable can handle most files required to create a professional-looking online course. Examples include video, images, music, text, and PDFs.
Teachable lets you import content from multiple sources, including Google Drive and Dropbox, and sync your storage locations with the website.
9. Builder using Drag and Drop
Drag and drop builders are constantly improving, and Teachable’s user designs demonstrate that they’ve done an excellent job in this area.
True, not every Teachable user is an expert in web development, but that’s the point.
You can quickly move courses, manage price bundles, add text and images to the site, and create sales pages.
In addition to cloud services, you can upload media and lecture materials (such as audio and PDFs) directly from your PC.
It’s also worth noting that you can integrate the course pages into your existing website. Alternatively, you can use Teachable to create an entirely new website with a unique domain name.
10. Advanced Edits
One advantage of Teachable is that you don’t have to be a coder or developer to create and sell online courses. You can start with a template, upload your content, and make money if your courses are good enough.
However, it’s understandable that some people and organizations would want to customize the Teachable interface further. This would allow you to manipulate more complex features such as button positioning, image size, and the overall identity of your website.
Teachable has a Power Editor feature that allows more advanced users to get into the code and make changes as needed.
Teachable Courses
Nothing is impossible to learn or teach. Teachable is a firm believer in this. With Teachable’s variety of courses, you’ll believe you, too, can be a teacher. Everyone possesses one or more strengths.
Imagine you can turn that one strength you thought wouldn’t help you into an asset.
Isn’t it exciting?
You can teach on Teachable whether you’re good at dog grooming, parenting, gardening, or just hairstyling.
You create a course, including curriculum, modules, videos, and course content, and publish it on Teachable. Then, online, promote your course. You can successfully teach simple things like basic life etiquette and manners.
Making a positive difference in another person’s life is one of life’s greatest joys.
Teachable: Membership Creation
Teachable facilitate the curation of membership sites with the help of its superior platform. We all know the three things needed for a membership site to be launched effectively:
- Course Bundles
- Subscriptions
- Value Delivery
Membership sites are essential for doing repeat business with the same customers and ensuring the success of your training business.
When you’ve successfully published a few Teachable courses, you can group them and call them a bundle.
So, what happens after the bundle is created?
To create a consistently profitable venture, you must implement subscription pricing.
Teachable even allows you to provide special offers, such as a free first month. But how do you go about doing this?
You can make your coupon. This coupon can be whatever you want, so the offer is entirely up to you. You can give away the entire month for free or offer a 25% or 50% discount.
But remember that you need to provide a consistent source of quality and value to ensure your students will subscribe and repeat business will be possible.
Teachable User Management
This handy feature lets you keep track of all the students you’ve persuaded to purchase your course and keep tabs on them. You can also keep track of your authors and affiliates, but only through Business Plans.
But what’s the icing on the cake?
You can add not only students and affiliates but also owners. As a result, you can work well with other course creators.
Teachable Design Options
All you have to do to get this information is go to the primary sidebar. After that, navigate to the “site” section.
Here you will find all the information you need for:
Theme: You can curate your theme as per your own requirements. The color pallet represents your school. Specific fonts and overlays, the option to import your logo, and many more features will make you jump with glee.
Navigation: You can play around with some default settings. You can personalize some navigation links.
Bios: The bio section of each of your owners and writers can be optimized as per your inner whims.
Pages: You can bring to the world pages utterly separate from the other and not linked to any particular course. Power editor: As the name suggests, this is a potent tool and isn’t found elsewhere. It lets you tweak your site as per specific aspect requirements.
Teachable Analytics 📈
Analytics are critical for anyone. You’ll undoubtedly want to learn more about your students’ demographics and the revenue you’ve generated.
It is also simple to find student information; click on their profile. Then you can modify them to meet your needs.
Other analytic student data can also be viewed, such as unlimited logins from each student, their IP addresses, and additional critical information.
Teachable Marketing
There are a few options on Teachable to help you promote your course. Let’s take a look at these options down below!
Email Marketing: You can do the basics, such as sending periodic emails to course users, but you can also target people below the user > student level.
After filtering options, you can choose to email these students. Aside from that, remembering all of our emails can be challenging at times. However, you can see all of your previous emails under the history section.
Blog Marketing: This has now exploded into a massive trend! Begin by filling out your blog’s information. Then you’ll create a “blog” category.
Although WordPress is far superior for blog curation, Teachable will suffice. As is always the case for good SEO practices, creating a custom domain is far preferable.
Affiliate Marketing: Yes! The only method in which you do not need to market! Your affiliate network handles it for you. All you have to do now is add new affiliates and watch the leads pour in!
What’s more, guess what? Teachable’s extensive and frequently very advanced platform includes an integrated affiliate portal.
It makes things easier for you and the affiliates because they can now log in quickly and gain access to their custom links, which your customers will use to make purchases.
Teachable Integrations
Teachable does an excellent job with integrations overall.
It works well with well-known email marketing services. It also allows users to integrate with webhooks. It also does an excellent job of integrating with various payment platforms.
However, it could be better suited to include a few more integrations, and while it is slightly inconvenient, it is not entirely wrong.
Settings
There are those general settings in each platform, nothing too extraordinary, but essential. Teachable is the same. It would help if you had some of these crucial options to perfect your platform.
Some of the things you can do with Teachable Settings options:
- School Name Change
- Removal of Branding
- Edit address
- Revamp Tagline
- Email Replies
Yes, this is quite basic. But you can understand the importance of these simple settings.
You can also toggle the global settings to all the members in your school, from authors to affiliates.
Yep, that’s not all. You can also access some basic functionality options below the site>blog.
This is like the cherry on top of that perfectly made fondant pastry you admire from the bakery window before going in to get a slice for yourself.
These settings add the final touch to the nearly perfect pastry known as Teachable.

Teachable Review 2023 Verdict: Is Teachable Worth It? 💵
Overall, Teachable is an excellent choice for edupreneurs with simple course design requirements, particularly those who rely heavily on video. The platform is easy to use, and the overall user experience is outstanding. When you use Teachable at the professional level (currently $119 per month), you get all of the features that most solo edupreneurs and small businesses require to create and sell profitable online courses (e.g., Thinkific).
However, I recommend you research your specific needs and priorities before selecting a platform. That is why I recommend downloading my free Course Platform Selection Guide to understand your needs better and make an informed decision.
If you use Teachable, please leave a Teachable review in the comments section below.
You can also follow Teachable on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube.

Somehow, this online platform has mastered the art of marketing. They know what you need before you even do. If anyone needs help with courses on all things sciency, I’ve got some awesome news for them: TEACHABLE! It’s the ultimate way to make money and teach people at the same time! You can change how much course time they get (and whatever else) depending again on your preferences again. Do you like explaining mixtures? Great, there are also mixtures lessons too so give it a shot—teachable is set up to do anything!
I feel probably the greatest disadvantage to Teachable is the integrations. For most mixes, Teachable suggests that you use Zapier. With Zapier you can set up two reconciliations for nothing however in the event that you have more than that you’ll need to pay $20 every month for that help also.
Teachable is an online learning management platform designed to help you turn your skills into a profitable online course. They enable course creators of various specialties to build unlimited numbers of online courses so they can share their knowledge with students all over the world.
Teachable is about easier and more efficient learning with a course creation platform. Want online courses without the hassle of manual videos, uploading content for users to consume, and finding resources! You can now create your very own course on this easy-to-use tool. For those who want to learn but don’t have the time or skills to produce their own materials, Teachable offers free course creation up to certain limits per month and accommodates people at every level of expertise!
I am obsessed with Teachable because it lets me easily put together course materials, monitor students’ progress with real-time analytics, share quizzes and project files…the list goes on! If you’ve even considered doing online courses but were scared off by the learning curve or intimidated by complicated interfaces? You NEED to try Teachable!
When it comes to marketing your phone company, there are a variety of options. These can be from being lighter on the year commitment to being easier with payments and offering more data storage. But with all these options and features come confusion and annoyance. Luckily for you we’ve thought about how difficult it can all become, which is what makes TEACHABLE such a great solution! With an experience that doesn’t feel like talking with customer service always available- they’re here for you 24/7 (and don’t hold you down when it’s time to make decisions).
I’ve been using Teachable for a couple of months now and I love it. Not only is the service really easy to use because you can literally make videos from your smartphone! The facilities provided by this is just immense …i love the new templates and features which made my work more interesting and attractive !
TEACHABLE creates a community based on equality among faculty members so they have collaborative tools unavailable from other applications which promotes open communication between all parties involved. With robust reporting tools within TEACHABLE you can determine which students are struggling with the lessons learned by how many times they choose not to take quizzes or do homework after repeated warnings. The implementation was surprisingly painless!!
The platform is really easy to use.
Good news for beginners because there’s no need for you to do the techie part! That part is exactly the reason behind teachable! You get to use your domain.

TEACHABLE is a step-by-step course that helped me bring my idea to life. This course teaches you how to brainstorm an idea and then follow through with making it into something tangible like a product or service by walking you through the steps in the process of coming up with your idea, testing it out, and finally marketing it.
There are video courses on how to put together a business plan at every stage of development and even webinars covering things like who’s most likely going to be interested in whatever it is you’ve created and what social media platforms would best suit marketing your product/services for best response rate etcetera. I LOVE IT
Just when I though I was goin’ nuts (for not telling ya), it hit me like a ton of bricks. The answer, my friend, is Teachable. they are literally the perfect product. They’re scalable, fun to make, and you help a lot of people. And this one’s game changer: you can do monetize by either charging course fees or affiliate links so no matter what model fits your idea best there’s unlimited opportunities for growth with Teachable.
The whole point of getting a cloud-based platform is saving time and eliminating stand-alone integration issues but when it comes to syncing numbers… wallah!
We keep losing connection, every time we enter digits they disappear on us or double data rate might not be an issue in Africa but when you come to Teachable it’s like hacking through thick brush with stiff limbs.
The whole experience feels fishy, like our accounts incur such inflated prices that we end up pocketing less than what we invested!
“The design of the app is so intuitive and easy going, I was able to have a beautiful looking website up and running really quickly. It’s clear that they spent a lot of time making this product as user-friendly as possible which makes it a fantastic platform for all training types. Teachable has helped me create profitable courses using my knowledge from years of experience in marketing.”

They are literally the perfect product – scalable, fun to make and you help a lot of people. Why do we love them so much? Well for starters, they are long enough that if your content is engaging, it actually gives your students value. You can also give your prospective students access to some videos before they buy anything which means they only buy if they want more information about what you know! I don’t normally get obsessed with tech but I’m obsessing over Teachable right now because of their incredible reasonable prices, easy interface and great design!
It’s great for turning passive knowledge into an interactive process so students feel comfortable asking questions through video discussions or chatboards during training sessions.”it SAVES TIME , it GIVE OPPURTUNITIES , it PROVIDE THE BEST MENTORS …..all in one for a successful carrier!
