This is our first Photoshop Skin Retouching Tutorial here, it is our first Photoshop tutorial on DesignSkew. We will be learning Skin Retouch Techniques. We will be learning simple but useful tips and tricks which you can perform with Photoshop to look better in your Photographs.
The reason why I couldn’t post Photoshop tutorials in the beginning is that my license of the Photoshop CS5 was expired. But now, I bought another and I am ready to rock with it. I was experiencing problems setting it up as I am somewhat new to install Adobe Photoshop on Mac, but I resolved it finely.
So, without wasting time, lets get started with the tutorial.
Photoshop Skin Retouching
We will be learning how to remove wrinkles and clear up your face and much more. Lets take up the photo below, we will start with this and will be manipulating it to get the best results in Photoshop.
First use the Healing Tool and select the source as the most clear part of the face and heal everywhere you find the spots or rough surface on the faces.
You can try this Blur after healing if spots remains. Blur makes the surface look smoother and perfect, though it creates some blur effect which shouldn’t be these, so don’t use blur much.
Now use the Clone Stamp tool to get similar skin color tone and naturalize your photo. Select the Clone Stamp Tool and Press Command to Select source, and then drag it in the side to get the best results.
Apart from this, you can see in the image that some parts of the photo are showing up pixels. The one and the best way to resolve that is applying some effect, like lomo or vintage or whatever that reduces noise.
Seeing the photo for the best, I have applied Vignette plus Sanibel Effect using Photoshop Resources, brushes. This makes the photo better and reduces noise from different portions too.
You can too uses brushes and effects, there are lot of Photoshop Bundles around which can simplify your work and makes the process easier.
